I Am That 'I AM' Says I Am: The Genesis of Mercy Manna & Our True Identity 🕊️✨
When I created the very first design for Mercy Manna, I thought to myself: Finally, it's all systems go.
I was stepping into something I loved, but even more than that, I was stepping into what God purposed for me to do on this earth. This original design—"I Am That 'I AM' Says I Am"—wasn't just text on a garment. It was a physical reflection of the Christ within me: my true, spiritual identity that sits far beyond what human eyes can see, embrace, or comprehend. 🌿
We live in a world obsessed with control. We love the feeling of being "on top of things," holding the reins, and managing every detail. Yet not one of us was created for self-reliance. We were called to surrender all control to the One who designed us, purposed us, and placed us into this realm for His name's sake and His ultimate glory. 👑
"I Didn't Bring Myself Here" 👶🏻💨
We’ve all heard (or spoken) the phrase, “I didn’t bring myself into this world!” Usually, it’s blurted out in a heated moment to defend ourselves to our parents. But when you strip away the teenage angst, those words carry profound spiritual weight: You didn't bring yourself here.
And truth be told, neither did your parents. They were vessels—God-chosen instruments—called to bring forth life.
Look at Genesis 2:7:
“Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” 📖
No human science can recreate that sacred moment. Having been pregnant seven times—carrying five beautiful children to birth, each with their own distinct, God-given personality—I came to a deep realization by my fourth pregnancy: No human being can manufacture a child that carries the divine Breath of God.
That breath belongs exclusively to the Creator.
Born of Water & Born of the Spirit 🌊🕊️
In John 3, Nicodemus asked Jesus a completely logical human question: How can a grown person be born a second time?
Jesus answered with kingdom clarity:
“I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.” — John 3:5–6 📜
Before the fall in the Garden, humanity knew no shame or flesh-driven identity. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed, sin immediately proved to be its own punishment—causing them to hide in fear from the very Presence that breathed life into them.
Being "born again" means returning to that original spiritual design. It is moving out of the fragile "soil figure" identity and stepping into a spirit-fueled reality.
A Brand-New Creation with Kingdom Authority 🦁✨
If we are born of the Spirit and live by the Spirit, then the declaration of the Holy Trinity in Genesis 1:26 becomes our daily operational truth:
“Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth...’” 🌍⚡
You were created to operate with spiritual authority over your domain through the working power of the Holy Spirit inside you. You are not a victim of your biology, your past mistakes, or human labels.
As 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 🔥
You are a brand-new, Spirit-fueled being. Therefore, you don't get your identity from what people think, what your bank account says, or how you feel on a hard morning. You are who HE says you are
